Weekly LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Weekly mobile application available on iOS and Android (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our Service, and the choices you have regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect
Account & Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
Financial Information via Plaid
To provide budgeting and transaction tracking features, we connect to your financial institutions using Plaid Inc., a third-party data aggregator. We collect the following financial data through Plaid:
- Transaction amounts
- Merchant names
- Transaction dates and status
- Transaction categories
- Account types (e.g., checking, savings)
- Account balances
We do not collect or store your bank account numbers or login credentials. Your bank credentials are entered directly into Plaid’s secure interface and are never shared with us.

Why we collect this financial data
We process your financial data on the basis of contract performance — it is necessary to deliver the core features of the Service, including:
- Calculating and displaying your Safe-to-Spend balance
- Tracking and categorizing your transactions
- Showing your account balances and spending trends
- Helping you manage budgets and savings goals
How long we retain your financial data
We retain your financial data for as long as your account is active. This allows you to access your full transaction history within the app. If you delete your account, all financial data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems within 5 business days.
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including:
- Device type and operating system
- Mobile device unique identifiers
- IP address
- App features accessed and actions taken
- Crash reports and diagnostic data
Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party companies that help us operate the Service. These providers act as data sub-processors and access your data only to perform services on our behalf. They are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use your data for their own purposes.

Subscriptions are processed through Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state across platforms. We do not store or have access to your payment card details.

Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Firebase (provided by Google) to understand how users interact with the Service. These tools collect anonymized usage data to help us improve the app.

Business Transfers
If Weekly LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account exists. Different categories of data are retained as follows:
- Financial data (transactions, balances, categories): retained for the lifetime of your account so you have access to your full history
- Account information (email, preferences): retained while your account is active
- Usage and analytics data: retained in aggregated or anonymized form
If you have not logged into your account for 24 months, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to keep your account open. If we do not hear from you, your account and associated data may be deleted in accordance with our dormant account policy.

If you delete your account, all personal data associated with your account — including all financial data imported via Plaid — will be permanently deleted from our systems within 5 business days. We may retain certain information for longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.
5. Security
We take the security of your data seriously and use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Weekly account and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information (including all financial data)
- Export a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
